Swing Philosophy
The golf swing, although mechanically complex, can be broken down into 3 major motions: Body Rotation, Arm Swing & Wrist Action.
The Body Rotation consists of the upper torso and hips rotating around an axis, the spine. The rotation back should build tension in the body over top of the golf ball allowing the rotation forward to drive the weight towards the target. Key fundamentals for success include balance, centeredness, weight transfer & a consistent spine angle.
The Arm Swing consists of a lifting and falling motion similar to a chopping motion. Due to spine angle in the posture, the arm swing will follow a tilted swing plane during the Body Rotation. Key fundamentals for success include a straight lead arm and a folding back arm which remains close to the body.
The Wrist Action consists of the hands hinging up and down to set and release the club. A gradual set of the hands on the backswing paired with a delayed release of the hands on the down swing promote a fluid, powerful motion. Key fundamentals for success include timing, relaxed muscles & hinging vertically versus side-to-side.
Timing in the golf swing is key to creating power and consistency. The larger muscles should lead each movement followed by the quicker, smaller muscles. The back and down swings should use the above motions in the following order: Body, Arms, Hands.
The golf swing not only requires technique, but feel, rhythm and tempo as well. Feel allows the golfer to control the power of the swing. Rhythm can be thought of best as music; keeping a beat to a song. Rhythm promotes timing, indicating when to activate each motion. Tempo is the speed at which we complete all of the motions. Each player is unique and will vary in tempo, but the key is consistency in this area.

Testimonials
The number one thing I got out of working with Jeremy is that for the first time in my life I actually understand what a correct golf swing is supposed to look like. I never thought that would happen. Also, I actually enjoy going to the range now- that is because I have seen great improvement in both my swing technique and length.
-Bruce Bennett, Marketing Rep. Rogers Insurance Agency
"While working to improve my golf swing and golf thoughts, Jeremy has been wonderfully patient, supportive and attentive to key areas that have enabled improvement. After two lessons my game has become more consistent and my handicap has dropped by nearly 10 strokes.”
-Marty Berger, Partner Manager, IBM GTS Sales
